wasm-vm documentation
Narrated, portable, inspectable

Explain the machine with the right layer.

VizEngine owns authored SVG timelines and synchronized narration. Docstream owns GitBook-style markdown rendering and embeds. The two hosted frames below are live Orly bundles with direct links, so a missing iframe never hides the source.

Published presentation packages

The current registry snapshot checked on 2026-08-30 reports these versions. The packages are not part of the wasm-vm npm namespace.

Author a timeline scene

VizEngine provides the timeline/player primitives and the React-facing VizPlayer and VideoEmbed surfaces. Keep an explainer's presentation clock independent from the guest clock; the player is a presentation surface, not a second emulator scheduler.

import {
  Camera,
  Player,
  Timeline,
  VideoEmbed,
  VizPlayer,
} from "@brett_lamy/viz-engine";
import "@brett_lamy/viz-engine/styles.css";

// Build a scene with the current VizEngine scene contract, then render it:
export function BootExplainer({ scene }) {
  return <VizPlayer scene={scene} loop />;
}

export function BootRecording({ src }) {
  return <VideoEmbed src={src} title="wasm-vm boot" />;
}

Render portable markdown

Docstream's GitBook syntax keeps a document portable. Use its current renderer/editor APIs in a React application, and use the viz subpath for the documented visualization embed boundary.

import { GitbookStreamdown } from "@brett_lamy/docstream";
import { VizEmbed } from "@brett_lamy/docstream/viz";
import { GitbookEditor } from "@brett_lamy/docstream-editor";
import "@brett_lamy/docstream/styles.css";
import "@brett_lamy/docstream-editor/styles.css";

const markdown = [
  "# Boot trace",
  "",
  "{% embed url=\"https://orly.brett-lamy.workers.dev/?bundle=wasm-vm-internals\" /%}",
].join("\n");

export function ReadOnlyDoc() {
  return <GitbookStreamdown markdown={markdown} />;
}

Live explainer: The wasm-vm Proof Loop

This frame explains the worker/critic/evidence loop used by the repository. It is a hosted presentation, not a verification artifact; the evidence records remain in the repository.
